Growing up in a small town in central Georgia, Matthew moved to Tallahassee Fl to pursue a higher education but in the process was drawn to the service and hospitality industry. With close to 20 years of experience in the service industry he has worn many hats over the years including General Manager, Director of Manager Development, and Director of Operations.  In 2022 Matthew joined Kalo Restaurant Group as Director of Training.  He is passionate about making sure everyone on his team is able to live up to their full potential by providing them with the necessary path, tools, and encouragement to achieve their goals and ambitions personally and professionally.  In his off time, Matthew enjoys riding cross country on his motorcycle, cooking for friends and family, woodworking, and reading as much as possible.
